We recently attended a Mother's Day High Tea Affair hosted by Africa on My Sleeve at the historic Alberton House in Mt. Albert. Founded by Zimbabwe born Makanaka Tuwe, Africa on My Sleeve provides a gateway for African inspired art and fashion in New Zealand and Australia.

New Zealand's Longest Catwalk presented by Schwarzkoph, was part of Heart of the City's '10 days of fashion in the City'. The 125m-long catwalk show took place between a section of Queen's Street, Shortland and Wyndham Streets to be precise. 40 models strutted down the catwalk in 70 looks from central City's designers and fashion stores including Kate Sylvester, Glassons, Mi Piaci and Smith & Caugheys.

On our latest adventure we attended the exciting Britomart Fashion Sessions, part of Heart of the City's annual '10 days of Fashion in the City' festival. The Britomart sessions included 6 stunning catwalk shows from an array of New Zealand designers showcasing their Autumn/Winter 2014 collections. Hello everyone! A few weeks ago we attended a fabulous event in honour of the West Indies Cricket Team. It was aptly named "A Night in the Caribbean" and was held at Tom Tom Bar and Eatery in Auckland. We anticipated a fabulous event and our expectations were met.
"Rally round the West Indies" is a line from David Rudder's classic song (audio below) of the same moniker, and has become the anthem for West Indies cricket. When we attended two matches in the ANZ International Series New Zealand v. West Indies 2013/2014, that line became one of our chants.

First, we attended a One Day International (ODI), Eden Park on Boxing Day. The atmosphere was sombre until we started chanting slogans like "One one does full basket" to remind West Indies batsmen that they should gradually accumulate the runs.
